Introduction to the
Balance Point Homestead Blog

Usually blogs have four main features:

  1. The entries are usually in reverse chronological order... you get to see the latest entry at the top of the list
  2. Blogs usually contain unfiltered content
  3. Responses and comments are included
  4. Hypertext links to the world outside the blog.

Here at Balance Point Homestead we have encountered a large quantity of "comment spam" wherein spammers add links that point to the spammer's web site... artificially increasing the site's search engine ranking. As a result, we have found it necessary to eliminate "unfiltered content." While this may make our blog page no longer fit the definition of a blog, we still look forward to your insight, comments, suggestions and the like... hopefully spam-free!

Here's how our blog (or non-blog) works:

We'll post articles of interest... and you respond... sounds like a regular blog, doesn't it? The difference is that instead of being able to directly post your comments, you'll simply email them to us by clicking on the link below and we'll review them for spam. All non-spam items will be posted. It's a bit more work for us, but it should result in more relevant discussions.
